The government has loosened Alert Level 3 rules yesterday to allow those who are moving house to cross the border.
The sudden U-turn left many in the property management industry scrambling to quickly inform affected parties.
Up until yesterday morning, those in Auckland were under the impression that they were stuck in the city until Alert Level 2 came calling.
Now those wanting to move out of Auckland just need evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of crossing the border.
Another recent change sees the minimum of two viewings per day, per property, scrapped.
Now property managers have no cap on the amount of the private viewings they can do as long as they follow all safety protocols.
Although 1 private viewing, per hour, is suggested to ensure there is no crossover of groups.
